The professional examination is governed by the Law Regulating the Legal Accounting Profession No. 73 and its 2003 regulations. Article 30, paragraph (b) of the same law mandates that public and private shareholding companies and limited liability companies appoint a licensed legal accountant to any key position related to accounting work. The Higher Authority for Regulating the Legal Accounting Profession in Jordan approved the Professional Licensing Committee's regulations No. (1) of 2004, issued pursuant to Article 5, paragraph (b) of the same law. Article 5 of the Licensing Committee's regulations stipulated the formation of a committee to conduct the professional examinations. This committee ultimately approved the topics included in each of the two examination papers, in accordance with the Licensing Committee's regulations.
Legal auditor:
A certified public accountant (CPA) is an accountant authorized to practice accounting independently. The CPA's work typically involves auditing and accounting firms. After approximately three years of experience, the CPA submits their credentials to the national register of accountants and auditors to obtain a registration number. This membership entitles them to review, stamp, and sign company financial statements.

International accounting standards, auditing standards, financial and managerial accounting, and cost accounting are covered.
